Millersoft Ltd is based in Edinburgh, Scotland and was formed in 1996 to provide software engineering solutions to the private sector. Over the last 13 years our end clients have included; American Express, Motorola, Bank of Scotland, Scottish Power, Sun Microsystems, CISCO Systems, Student Loans Company, JPMorgan and Standard Life. These consultancy contracts covered design and implementation of bespoke Information Systems from Data Warehousing solutions through to Internet Portals.

Servicing clients at home and abroad, Millersoft Ltd gained valuable experience of both traditional commercial software and open source alternatives. Having reach the conclusion the later offered greater flexibility and a better value proposition, Millersoft Ltd has decided to focus solely on open source Business Intelligence and Database solutions.

Meet the Team

Chief Technology Officer: Calum Miller

Chief Technology Officer

Calum has a broad commercial background in the financial, energy, telecommunications and retail market places. He has 18 years development experience (mainly Oracle and Java) and has spent 4 years working with MDX and the Mondrian OLAP engine. He now works exclusively with open source software to create bespoke Business Intelligence applications from industry standard components.

Associate Account Manager: Phil Dagleish

Accounts manager

From a marine mechanical design background, Phil has had a wide variety of planning/ project management and consultancy roles in the Oil & Gas, civils, defence, electronics manufacturing and distribution, FMCG, leisure, finance and public sectors. He has consulted or been an employee with various blue chip companies including Aker Gruppen, BP, Conoco, Shell (UK & BV), Ballast Nedam, AEA Technology, Marconi, MoD, VSEL, Raytheon, DEC, Compaq, Heinz, Zonal, RBS, and the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Phil is at much at home with business process re-engineering, software development, and ERP implementations as he is with governance, compliance, and Lean 6 Sigma/ Continuous Improvement projects.

Before joining Millersoft Ltd, Phil was consulting with the Scottish Ambulance Service where he headed a team of nine delivering reporting solutions for answering Parliamentary Questions (PQs) and Freedom Of Information Act requests (FOIs). He is also part of the Scottish Government’s drive on Lean Transformation projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of NHS Scotland.
